GTAW welder • Spencer County, Indiana

Now hiring: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Spencer County, Indiana. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day to day you will read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. You should have: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Pay around $15 per hour, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
