Immediate opening: we are hiring a natural gas fitter in Lipscomb County, Texas. The job is at a busy gas installation company. Day to day you will read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply; thread, ream and join black iron pipe with pipe wrenches and thread sealant; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply. Requirements: • Clean, methodical and safety-conscious • Able to read isometric and site drawings At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. $180 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
