Immediate opening: restoration bricklayer (Scotland)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a restoration bricklayer in Glasgow City, Scotland. The role involves: • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays You should have: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks 4+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. £2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
