Now hiring: we are hiring a skimming plasterer in Albany County, New York. You will work at a new-build housing development. Requirements: • Physically fit for lifting bags of plaster and mixing all day • Able to read drawings and set out work to a deadline The role involves check walls for plumb and level as you go; patch and repair cracked, blown or hollow plaster; polish the final coat with a steel trowel and water brush; clean trowels, buckets and mixers before the plaster sets; mix gypsum plaster and cement render to a workable consistency; apply bonding and browning undercoats to brickwork and blockwork. At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. $8,000 per project, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off.
