Gantry crane operator wanted in Fayette County

Now hiring: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Fayette County, West Virginia. You will work at a shipbuilding yard. Ideal candidate: • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination • Sound knowledge of rigging and slinging • Proven experience on mobile, tower or overhead cranes On the job you will handle: • Watch the load moment indicator (LMI) and stay within rated capacity • Work out the load weight and the lifting radius • Set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block Full-time with occasional weekends.
