Urgent requirement: ladle pourer (Virginia)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in City of Radford, Virginia. You will be based at an aluminium die-casting plant. Day to day you will apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Basic grinding and fettling skills Part-time with flexible hours.
