Vacancy available: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Cass County, Nebraska. The job is at a groundworks and structures site. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks The role involves: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
