Automotive paint technician — Peterborough

Immediate opening: we are hiring an automotive paint technician in Peterborough, England. The job is at an accident repair centre. On the job you will handle: • Compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss • Wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs • Check the colour match under booth lights against the maker's swatch • Wipe down panels with degreaser and a tack cloth before spraying • Bake panels in the spray booth oven to cure the paint • Mix two-pack (2K) clear coat with hardener in the correct ratio You should have: • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing • Keen attention to detail and a steady hand • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing Full-time with occasional weekends. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
