VMC operator wanted in Sitka City and Borough

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a VMC operator in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will be based at a fabrication and machining plant. Requirements: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • 2-3 years' hands-on milling experience You will select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; set spindle speeds and feed rates to suit the material and cutter. Pay around $3,200 per month, based on your experience. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
