Crane operator wanted in Kodiak Island Borough

Now hiring: we are hiring a crane operator in Kodiak Island Borough, Alaska. You will work on a high-rise tower crane. You will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure; set up the outriggers and level the crane on firm ground; keep a safe distance from overhead power lines; fill in the daily logbook and raise defect reports. Requirements: • Physically fit to climb ladders and work long shifts • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
