Heavy goods vehicle driver wanted in City of Edinburgh

We are recruiting: we are hiring a heavy goods vehicle driver in City of Edinburgh, Scotland. Day to day you will carry out daily walk-around vehicle checks before setting off; check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits; check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels; operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading; reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays; couple and uncouple the trailer and check the fifth-wheel lock. What we are looking for: • Clean driving record with no recent endorsements • Valid digital tachograph card • Confident with manual handling and load securing 6+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Walk-in interviews this week.
