Now hiring: we are hiring a steel erection rigger in Pike County, Alabama. Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working at height and in confined spaces • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams Day-to-day duties: • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks • Secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
