Now hiring: we are hiring an automotive paint technician in Knox County, Maine. Requirements: • 2+ years' experience in automotive refinishing • Sound knowledge of 2K paints, primers and hardeners • Confident with wet-sanding and machine polishing The role involves blend new paint into adjacent panels for an invisible repair; wet-sand and buff out runs, orange peel and dust nibs; apply etch primer to aluminium and galvanised panels; sand and feather-edge damaged panels before painting; compound and polish the cured finish to a high gloss; strip clean the spray guns and change the booth filters. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Pay around $5,300 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
