Urgent requirement: we are hiring a precision welder in Orleans County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Own basic hand tools and PPE Part-time with flexible hours.
