We are recruiting: we are hiring an aluminium TIG welder in Sabon Gari, Kaduna State. What we are looking for: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Your main tasks: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 3+ years on the tools preferred.
