Now hiring: trowel-trade bricklayer (South Dakota)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Brown County, South Dakota. You will work at a renovation and extension job. The role involves: • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks Pay around $2,800 per month, based on your experience.
