Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Waukesha County, Wisconsin. You will work on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates Day-to-day duties: • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings Full-time, day shift.
