Foundry labourer • Ibadan South East, Oyo State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Ibadan South East, Oyo State. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Day to day you will skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch. What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry 3+ years on the tools preferred.
