Great opportunity: we are hiring a rebar fixer in Dodge County, Nebraska. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. Ideal candidate: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Day-to-day duties: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
