Immediate opening: HSE officer (Virginia)

Join our team: we are hiring a HSE officer in Greensville County, Virginia. The job is at an oil and gas facility. Ideal candidate: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Able to read and prepare RAMS and method statements Day to day you will inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action. Six days a week, one day off. We offer $16 per hour plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
