Join our team: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day-to-day duties: • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
