Join our team: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Van Buren County, Tennessee. The role involves: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through We offer $220 per day plus benefits.
