Crane operator — City of Suffolk

We are recruiting: we are hiring a crane operator in City of Suffolk, Virginia. On a typical shift you will carry out pre-start checks on the crane, wire ropes and hook block; follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger; grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands; rig and sling loads using slings, shackles and spreader beams. You should have: • Strong attention to safety and load limits • Able to read load charts and lifting plans 1+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
