You should have: • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts • Comfortable handling refrigerant gases and gauge manifolds Day to day you will check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight; wire up thermostats, contactors and overload relays; trace electrical circuits with a multimeter.
