Join our team: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Crawford County, Illinois. The job is at a ready-mix concrete plant. Day-to-day duties: • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms Ideal candidate: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods 3+ years on the tools preferred.
