Gtaw welder wanted in Broome County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Broome County, New York. On the job you will handle: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Meals and transport allowance provided. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
