Reinforcement steel fixer — North Yorkshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in North Yorkshire, England. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder What we are looking for: • Own basic tools such as pliers, tie hook, tape and level • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Six days a week, one day off. £2,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
