Trainee butcher • Newport, Wales

Great opportunity: we are hiring a trainee butcher in Newport, Wales. The role involves mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights; debone shoulders, legs and loins with a boning knife; dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date. What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift carcasses and stand all day • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling 1+ years on the tools preferred.
