Brick mason — Linn County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick mason in Linn County, Iowa. Your main tasks: • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
