Pastry baker wanted in Clay County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a pastry baker in Clay County, North Carolina. The job is at an in-store supermarket bakery. What we are looking for: • Understanding of food-safety and HACCP basics • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Accurate at weighing and following recipes Your main tasks: • Shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Score the top of loaves before baking • Knead and develop dough by hand and in the spiral mixer • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter At least 2 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
