Immediate opening: we are hiring a fabrication workshop technician in Beaufort County, North Carolina. Day-to-day duties: • Fit espagnolette locking gear, friction hinges, handles and keeps to the sash • Glaze the double-glazed units, set the packers and bed the glass square • Crimp glazing beads to length and snap them into the frame • Clean welded corners on a corner-cleaning machine and chisel off the weld flash • Check the frame for square by measuring the diagonals Requirements: • Accurate measuring and squaring to within a couple of millimetres • Own basic hand tools (tape, square, screw gun) • Knowledge of common hardware systems such as espagnolette and friction hinges Full-time, day shift.
