Reinforcement steel fixer wanted in Bristol County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Bristol County, Rhode Island. You will be based at a precast concrete yard. The role involves: • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing Part-time with flexible hours.
