Urgent requirement: we are hiring an ironing operator in Leicestershire, England. You should have: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Aware of steam iron safety and basic machine upkeep • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory Your main tasks: • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
