Cement mason • Hidalgo County, New Mexico

We are recruiting: we are hiring a cement mason in Hidalgo County, New Mexico. You will be based on a building construction site. The role involves: • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Set out levels with a spirit level, line and pins • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour • Give broom or steel-trowel finishes as specified • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing Ideal candidate: • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
