We are recruiting: gas installation technician (Louisiana)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a boiler and appliance service centre. The role involves fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances; braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints; carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation; install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves. You should have: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Able to read isometric and site drawings • Driving licence for travel between sites Full-time, day shift. $250 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
