Immediate opening: MIG/MAG welder (Louisiana)

Join our team: we are hiring a MIG/MAG welder in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana. The job is at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Requirements: • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium The role involves: • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Bevel and grind the joint edges clean before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
