We are recruiting: trowel-trade bricklayer (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Borough of Thurrock, England. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. You should have: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets Your main tasks: • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Bedding in air bricks, weep holes and wall starters Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
