Now hiring: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Lyon County, Iowa. The job is at a busy iron foundry. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards On a typical shift you will cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity.
