Sample machinist • Suffolk County, New York

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sample machinist in Suffolk County, New York. You will be based on an export house sewing floor. Day to day you will match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
