Great opportunity: gas metal arc welder (Nebraska)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gas metal arc welder in Washington County, Nebraska. You will be based at a steel fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc • Tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing • Change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead Requirements: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
