Gtaw welder — Cass County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Cass County, Nebraska. The job is on an industrial construction site. The role involves feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Full-time with occasional weekends.
