Trowel-trade bricklayer wanted in Lisburn and Castlereagh

Now hiring: we are hiring a trowel-trade bricklayer in Lisburn and Castlereagh, Northern Ireland. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. Requirements: • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) The role involves: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser We offer £15 per hour plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
