Sand plant operator wanted in Porter County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Porter County, Indiana. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. You should have: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring Full-time with occasional weekends.
