Now hiring: gtaw welder (Lagos State)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Ajeromi/Ifelodun, Lagos State. You will be based in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Own basic hand tools and PPE Full-time with occasional weekends.
