Rebar worker • Orleans Parish, Louisiana

Vacancy available: we are hiring a rebar worker in Orleans Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at a rebar fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings Requirements: • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Six days a week, one day off.
