Horizontal milling machine operator • Perth and Kinross, Scotland

Vacancy available: we are hiring a horizontal milling machine operator in Perth and Kinross, Scotland. The job is in a die and mould making unit. You should have: • Proficient with micrometers, vernier callipers and dial gauges • Good eyesight and steady hands for close-tolerance work On the job you will handle: • Set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines • Read engineering drawings and GD&T to plan the machining sequence • Set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe • Mount workpieces in machine vices, clamps and fixtures and check for square Six days a week, one day off.
