GTAW welder wanted in Washtenaw County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Washtenaw County, Michigan. The role involves: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to pass a weld test on the spot 5+ years on the tools preferred.
