Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Kalkaska County, Michigan. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. On the job you will handle: • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints What we are looking for: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection 2+ years on the tools preferred.
