Great opportunity: metal caster (California)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in City and County of San Francisco, California. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Your main tasks: • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
