Sheet metal welder — Afikpo North

Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Afikpo North, Ebonyi State. The role involves sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 6+ years on the tools preferred.
